Concept:
Certain coins have an undeniable mystique about them, and in our humble opinion the 1804 Draped Bust Cent is one of them. Especially in high grade.

And recent auction results indicate we aren’t the only ones to hold such a view, as an MS63 example of this date brought over $600K a little while ago, and an AU55 hammered down for over $100K last week.

Making the subject of this week’s ad a relatively easy decision.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
Actually we didn’t have anything really clever in mind, but at the recent Long Beach show another dealer walked up, saw a copy of this ad in our case and said you should have used this:

"Missing from the King of Siam Set."

Man, I wish we had thought of that.
