As we roll into the last quarter of 2011, it is time once again for a new version of our "We Buy Colonials" ad, stating as clearly as we can (i.e. using 42 point font) that We Buy Colonials (in any grade, actually, from common pieces to extremely rare varieties and everything in between, though we will always pay the most money for the choicest pieces).
Captions that didn't make the cut:
The caption and format were decided long ago (back in January, actually, when we ran the first of this series of ads), but this time illustrated with three new eye-catching coins:
1. A superb 1783 Chalmers Shilling, Long Worm variety with excellent luster and a nice even strike.
2. A ridiculous 1786 New Jersey Copper with some 225 year-old mint red lingering in the devices.
3. A high end mint state 1779 Rhode Island Ship Medal in Pewter.
Which means that we'll need to think of some cool new ones to use when this ad concept reappears in January of 2012.
