This lovely, original and conditionally rare South Peru 2 Reales all but demanded that we use a caption that highlighted its charming and brilliantly executed sun motif (which just so happens to be toned in the same lovely shades as a Tuscan sunset).
Captions that didn't make the cut:
Our first effort to highlight the motif here was, of course, to make some kind of a Raisin Bran reference, since the sun face on this piece resembles (slightly) that one on the cereal box (sans scoops).
But that seemed just too silly, so we then migrated toward a series of song lyrics containing the word sun, like Sheryl Crow's "Soak up the Sun." Which we could conceivably have used if not for the fact that we made reference to a different Sheryl Crow lyric right here in the Ad Archive not one week ago, and two such references in a 7-day period seemed odd even to us.
So we opted instead for the unbridled optimism and high memorability quotient of the George Harrison penned Beatles song lyric seen in our final ad.
