When putting together a set of beautifully toned Commemorative half dollars, there are a few 'stoppers'. Topping the list of these is the Hawaiian, as most of these seem to have some degree of uninspiring, dull brownish-gold toning, or they are simply dipped white (which was done to remove that uninspiring, dull brownish-gold toning).

But here we have a happy exception, a coin beautifully toned in russet, magenta, and vibrant gold on both the obverse and reverse, absolutely natural, totally un-enhanced and simply stunning.

This coin is from the CRO archives and is not currently available for sale.
