Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a store?

No, we are strictly a website. We do, however, meet with local customers by appointment. Call us at 1-800-Coins-99 (1-800-264-6799) or email us at John@CoinRaritiesOnline.com if you’d like to get together.

What are your hours?

As a website CRO is always open, so we need to be accessible to our customers when they call or email. You can reach us any day (including weekends and holidays) from 7 AM to 11 PM east coast time. If we are traveling or otherwise occupied, please leave us a message and we’ll come back to you straight away.

How do I place an order?

Call us at 1-800-Coins-99 (1-800-264-6799), email us at John@CoinRaritiesOnline.com or Complete the Form at the bottom of any coin description to order or inquire about any item on this site.

What forms of payment do you take?

Our preference is always an old fashioned personal check made out to Coin Rarities Online and sent to us at this address (note for security reasons we never put the word Coin in our address):

CRO
PO Box 76
Weston, MA 02493

We also take bank checks, money orders, wire transfers and PayPal.

If by wire transfer contact us for our account details.

If by PayPal, our pay-to address is John@CoinRaritiesOnline.com.

We can take credit cards, but based on the extremely high processing fees we have to pay we try not to.  If this is your preferred payment method please call us to discuss at 1-800-Coins-99 (1-800-264-6799).

What does the HOLD I see under some items in your inventory mean?

If a coin is ordered by a customer but the deal has not been finalized yet, the coin will be marked HOLD. For a lay-a-way deal in which a customer is paying over time, you may see the hold sign showing for an extended period.

Sometimes deals do not work out, though, and occasionally coins marked hold become available again – so if you see something you like it cannot hurt to inquire.

When a deal is done and a coin has been sold, it will say SOLD. We usually leave these up on the site for a couple days.
