Concept:
In our professional opinion, when you advertise a coin dated 1812, you really have just two options:

1. Somehow bring the War of 1812 into it, or

2. Make an 1812 Overture reference

And in this case, we chose the latter, since we felt that it had a sophisticated, upscale feel, it was positive and it afforded us an opportunity to give a long overdue shout out to Tchaikovsky. Also, we find that war references are not an especially effective advertising vehicle for selling fine numismatic items.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We considered just one minor variant here, with "Make an overture to this 1812."

But we soon concluded that ‘toward‘ was the grammatically correct choice, and so we substituted that word into the caption in our final ad.
