Concept:
While the word ‘thrilling’ is not often used to describe a numismatic item, it seemed particularly appropriate in this instance, since this is among the most spectacularly toned, incredibly eye-appealing and, yes, thrilling Pillar Dollars we’ve ever seen (and we’ve seen a lot of Pillar Dollars).

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
Our first draft was in fact "Killer Pillar.", which seemed to us an equally apt description, but one with controversial overtones that some more sensitive CoinWorld readers might find offensive.

So we decided we should use something less violent.
