One of my favorite coins on this list.

Absolutely nothing like a typical example of this type, and grade, with a nice even strike, and fabulous old toning in vivid shades of rose, rich blue, sea green and gold on the obverse and reverse.

In the recent Stack's-Bowers ANA auction there were 2 early dimes in old PCGS holders, a 1796 and an 1803, with a look slightly similar to this, and both went absolutely berzerk in the sale (I know, because I bid on both and was swamped as they zoomed into the mid 20K's).

So I was thrilled to see this coin walk up to the table on Saturday where I could buy it instantly and then place it on this list.

Not inexpensive for the issue, but coins that look like this never are.
