Miller 4.1-F.4, W-2355 variety, Mailed Bust Right 'African Head' type. Considered to be Rarity-1.

Nicest example we've ever had of this popular and distinctive Redbook variety, with choice color, lovely surfaces and extremely sharp detail, notably in the obverse hair curls and the intricate grapevines on the reverse shield - a feature which is often completely absent even on AU-graded examples of this type.

In all, a piece that would be very difficult and expensive to upgrade (if you could find such an example, and we seriously doubt that you could).

Ex Bowers November 1991 Frontenac Sale, lot #325.
