M. Savinelli and E. Wiseman
In the spirit of the holidays we are delighted to present the sixth annual CRO holiday ad featuring the extremely distinctive and artfully decorated Connecticut Charter Oak straight from a 1935 Connecticut Commemorative Half Dollar.
And, new for 2012, our guest artist has added a bonus, 3-D floral flourish, the first such embellishment we can ever recall in a numismatic holiday-themed ad.

While we would generally prefer to use non-denominational themes (likes doves, ornaments or a large Frosty the Snowman), sometimes the allure of trimming a tree (of which there are many, many examples on various coins just waiting to be decorated) is simply too great. As it was for us this year.
