If you embark on the path of attempting to build a colonial type set, you're going to encounter some pretty challenging slots to fill. Such as the Willow Tree 6p, a High Rarity-6 issue with just 16 known specimens.
With most of those falling into two distinct camps: Very expensive high grade pieces, or impaired/low grade examples.
So when a relatively affordable, straight-graded piece comes to market (like the pleasing PCGS F12 show in this ad, for example), the opportunity can be fleeting, and the best approach might be to make the effort to try to acquire it when you have the chance.
Which is why we say "Where there's a Willow, there's a way.", be it via layaway, or partial trade or other creative means.

We came up with this one right away, and liked it enough to stop thinking about alternative ideas.
