Browning-2 variety, considered to be Rarity-3.
If one were to look up the definition of album toning in their numismatic dictionary they just might see a picture of this coin, with its lovely peripheral green and blue color fading to silver centers on both the obverse and reverse.
The surfaces are nice and a bit prooflike, and there is ample original luster remaining.
A few scattered marks can be seen, including a tiny spot on Liberty’s neck and a small mark above the Eagle on the reverse, but none are really distracting or noticeable.
In all, this is an excellent example of a classic type available for a fraction of the price of a mint state coin.
