A giant, thick and beautifully executed medal with a dramatic bust of Captain Thomas Truxton on the obverse, and a neat Naval Battle scene on the reverse above BY VOTE OF CONGRESS, TO / THOMAS TRUXTON / 24 MAR. 1800.

The piece itself is a superb, original, über-gem and with exceptional mahogany brown color and all but pristine surfaces.
