J.IP. 5, Pr.40, B.20 variety. First size, first reverse. Obverse rim signed ”R” for John Reich. 75.8mm. Rims 4.1 – 4.2mm thick. 2,623.1 gns. There is a witness line from 6 o’clock on the obverse.

Perhaps just more than a dozen survive in all grades, with this surely among the very best.

The color is a lovely, original silvery-gray with some subtle iridescent toning on both the obverse and reverse.

There are just some very minor nicks and a few marks present, none of which are terribly noticeable or at all distacting.

Really an amazing piece that rightfully belongs in a museum, but is available here for private purchase.
