July 20, 2009: "Out-standing"

Concept:
Much like that cool lenticular fabric that changes color when you tilt it, we always enjoy an ad with two meanings (even if it is sort of obvious, and not really that clever).

Still, we’ve found these short, catchy, double-meaning ads to work pretty well, so until that changes, we intend to keep cranking them out.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
There was actually some spirited internal debate about how to write this one, ranging from "Out. Standing.", to "Out, standing." to simply "Outstanding.", but none made it obvious that there was a pun happening here (and that last one in particular sort of pretended there wasn’t).

We also had one killer idea presented by a customer. It was too late for this issue, but since it will be appearing in an upcoming ad, we refuse to spoil the surprise by writing it here.
