March 10, 2014: "Literally Museum Quality"

Concept:
Long time CRO customers will know that we have been using the ‘Museum Quality Coinage’ tagline since the beginning (and I mean the real beginning, long before the name CRO took effect and back when the business was cumbersomely called Coin Rarities of New England).

And while we have handled literally thousands of items that could be rightly described as ‘Museum Quality’ during that time, this über-gem Barber Half Dollar is the first piece in a loooong while that is, literally, from a museum.

So of course we had to mention that fact in this literal ‘Literally’ ad which we think neatly highlights this coin while also reinforcing the idea that these are the kinds of coins we try very hard to acquire so that we can offer them on this site with much fanfare.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
Just some wordsmithing here, as we debated inserting a comma after ‘Literally, or moving it to the end of the caption, and/or removing the word Coinage altogether before deciding that none of those changes were actually improvements.
