Concept:
One of the challenges of continuing to crank out these CRO ads is of course the fact that we have handled so many coins through the years, and featured so many different types in ads, that we have already used a lot (but not all!) of our best ideas.

So we were delighted this week to feature an item with a motif never before seen in one of these ads, namely a Civil War Token bearing a princely Fish right there in the middle.

Enabling us to delve into popular culture, pore through famous quotes and carefully study the Summer 2011 Cabela’s catalog for fish-related material before settling on this crisp, succinct and recognizable-to-nearly-everyone-who-ever-played-cards-as-a-child two-worder supplied by our European guest author.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
For some reason I could not get the idea of ‘something fishy’ out of my head, though fortunately we eventually did because that one, although undeniably fish-related, has a very negative connotation ill suited for a CRO ad.

So we did not use it.
