Concept:
Presented with this superb, über-gem French Colonial coin, it wasn’t a real stretch to go for a French caption.

But not so easy to find one that would be instantly recognizable (if not translatable) by the average CW readers. Until our young French student daughter Aleka stepped to the plate and hammered out the caption in our final ad.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
The only question this week was how to spell ‘Magnifique’, since you see it a lot online on French websites without the G.

We thought that looked weird, so we left it in. Hope that’s correct.
