Concept:
I don’t believe we have ever done a straightforward condition census caption before, but if ever there was a time it would be for this fantastic, totally new to the market, long lost 1786 New Jersey Copper, Maris 24-p variety in MS64+ which exploded onto the market and zoomed straight to the top of the census for this issue.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We knew we were going in this direction, starting with “The Finest Known Example.”, but somehow that locked the punch of a condition census comment.

So we went with that second one.
