October 31, 2025: CRO’s ‘October by the Numbers’
Hey everyone, let’s recap the month of October numerically starting right now!
One local one: Shows we attended, the NH Expo.
802: Our table # there, even though the table numbers are not posted anywhere at the show as far as I am aware. Still, it makes me feel good to know it.
4 Big Ones: Number of glasses included in the wine flights at the cool restaurant we went to for dinner with dealers friends after the show.
Just 1: Early birds launched this month.
59%: Coins on it that we sold.
1766: Date of the oldest coin on it.
PF67: Highest graded coin on it.
3: Number of CAC-eligible, non-CAC coins on this list.
All of them: Number of those items we sold. I find that interesting.
$140: Cheapest coin we bought this month.
$49,750: Most expensive coins we sold this month (not the same coin as above).
2.3 Miles: Shortest distance we traveled from the office to purchase a coin from a local collector.
2 hours: Time spent viewing lots at a local coin auction this month.
7: Lots I identified as targets to bid on.
3: Lots actually purchased.
Another 2 hours: Time spent assembling the very specific paperwork they required to prove that I, the owner of CRO, am authorized to make payments on behalf of CRO.
Almost certainly never: The next time I plan to bid in one of this company’s auctions.
And now we’ll set our sites on the last major show of 2025, the Whitman Baltimore Expo, from where our next RR will be written in less than one week from today. So you might want to keep an eye out for that.
