Musante GW-128, Baker-75A variety, struck in Bronze. 45mm.
Bearing an unusual, oversized portrait completely filling the obverse, and an ersatz, heavily abbreviated resume on the reverse.
This type was long considered to be a birth centennial medal, but author and friend of the firm Neil Musante suggests convincingly that it was more likely struck to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Washington’s death.
