Newcomb-5 variety, Small Date Proof Only type.  Considered to be Rarity-5+. 

A lovely medium brown piece with perhaps 10% of the original mint red remaining on the obverse, and considerably more on the reverse. 

Just a few very minor marks are noted for accuracy, but none are too distracting on this high end example considered to be CC#4 in the Loring list and tied for CC#4 in the Grellman census. 

In all, a superb piece with an illustrous (and very, very long) pedigree.
