March 11, 2013: "A Norse is a Norse"

Concept:
It has been said that the most sophisticated captions are often the very best and most memorable, though not in this case, when our guest author dipped into really terrible 1960’s TV for the Mister Ed theme song that of course has absolutely nothing to do with this coin, except for that impressive rhyme.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
Frankly, none of the alternatives were very sophisticated either, including "STOP! And celebrate 100 years of Norwegian-American immigration.", which was of course a sight-gag based on the Stop-sign shape of this piece.

Which fortunately gave way to "Take a Liking to this Viking.", a reference to one of those aforementioned Norwegians.

But while we liked that one, we figured that this week we would take the seriously silly route.

So we did.
