Concept:
As has always been the case here in the AA, we like to give the most significant and important items a certain gravitas. Which means holding off with the excessively kooky ads, and instead saying something sorta serious.

And that makes sense to us here, since this Choice Maryland Shilling is a fantastic, original, high condition census example of an issue with an extant population of just 40 to 50 known in all grades combined. Wow.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We briefly considered using something purely historic, like “Cecil Calvert, Lord Baltimore.” But I have to admit that merely typing that sentence here makes me want to take a nap.

So we rejected it for boredom.
