"Blue Folder"

Concept:
This week’s theme is pure, unadulterated, numismatic nostalgia.

Which seems appropriate, since in our experience, 95% of the collectors who buy a 1909-S VDB are people who have wanted one since they were 9 years-old, but either never had the chance or the means to acquire one (or at least one of this quality) until later in life.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We had quite a few this week, all based on this same theme:

We started with "Odds are you’ve wanted one since about 1975.", followed closely by "Satisfy your inner 9 year-old.", but decided that describing nostalgia so literally was not as interesting as mentioning something that everyone would recognize as being nostalgic.

Do you know what I mean?

And, in our opinion, our collector-author found just the right nostalgic ‘hook’ with the blue folder (since every single collector had one of those back in the day), making this an obvious choice for the final ad caption.
