February 14, 2011: "Cap-tivating"

Concept:
OK, so this extremely cool Gobrecht-designed gold dollar pattern has a Liberty Cap on it, right? So we thought it would be neat to do a caption which highlighted this in some way, when all of a sudden my wife shouted out "Captivating"!

And then I, thinking quickly, went and got a dash, put it right after the ‘P’ in Cap, and then inserted this newly hyphenated word directly into our ad using Photoshop.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We started out with longer more literal captions, like this:

"Cap off your collection with this pattern."

Followed by this:

"We tip our cap to this pattern."

Neither of those really seemed that great, so when my wife came through with "Captivating", I knew we were on the right track.
