Concept:
This superb gem example of this ‘Cat Conder’ all but begged us for a cat inspired caption – especially since numismatic items featuring cats are so few and far between in numismatics, and so if not now, when? Exactly.

So we were of course delighted when our repeat guest author came up with this punchy but descriptive caption.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
Our first efforts here were extremely concise, including "Top Cat." (reflecting the superb condition of this piece), "Wild Cat." (highlighting the lovely blue toning) and finally "Cat’s Meow." (highllghting both).

But with those short captions, and the space constrained description of this item, we figured the longer version in our final ad was just what the doctored ordered.
