February 15, 2016: "Down Undergraded"

Concept:
In our first ever ad featuring an Australian coin, we decided to go all-in with this classic Paul Hogan-style "That’s not a knife", "Put another shrimp on the barbie", there-is-no-question-what-country-we’re-talking-about Down Under theme.

Delivered with a powerful accelerant in the form of this totally cool, original, old-holdered and decidedly undergraded 1866 gold sovereign minted in Sydney 107 years before that iconic Opera House opened (Editor’s note: In person, the Opera House is ecru in color, as opposed to the stark white it appears on my brand new 21" RCA color television).

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We knew we were going with this basic concept, but weren’t sure how to write it, variously trying Under-graded, then Under-Graded and finally Undergraded before saying "Yes!" that is the one we should use.
