September 17, 2012: "Free Shipping"

Remember that ad we ran on February 21, 2011? A quick check of our Ad Archives reveals that that was the time we used a Trade Dollar to promote the fact that trades are always welcome at CRO.

And, in a parallel of semi-epic proportions, we thought this lovely mint state Rhode Island Ship Token afforded us an excellent opportunity to highlight the fact that shipping is always free on all coin orders at CRO.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
Our efforts this week begin in an entirely different direction with the trite and undeniably concise "Ship Ahoy!". That did not seem very inspiring, though.

Then my wife came up with the shipping angle, and I was sold.

But not before wondering if using a $9,150 coin to promote free shipping might seem sort of silly. Ultimately, though, we decided that any silliness was mitigated by the fact that insured, overnight shipping on all coins (even the $295 Morgan on the current list) is F-R-E-E. As in no charge. Nada.

And there is nothing silly about that.
