September 8, 2025: "Got Color?"

25-09-08

Author:
M. Agre

Concept:
Using those popular “Got Milk?” ads (which ran extensively in support of the California Milk Processor Board from 1995 to 2014) as inspiration, we’ve always used this “Got Color?” derivative to describe toned coins on the site.

But your author was absolutely dumbfounded to learn that (unless I flat forgot about it) we had never once used it in a CRO ad. Until now, when describing this super cool, colorfully toned, gem 1887 Morgan in an old PCGS slab.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We considered using “$$$$$$ Color, $$$ Price.“, since we often see similar(ish) coins at shows priced at some huuuuuge numbers, but we prefer the affordable(ish) ones like this.

Talking about price in ads is questionable, however, so we decided not to do it.
