June 18, 2012: "Green with Envy"

Concept:
While the 1855/4 Half Dollar shown here is a really lovely coin, the focus this week is on the rare, unusual and highly collectible PCGS Regency holder that contains it.

A slab our guest author felt could best be highlighted by drawing a totally unexpected ‘green slab / green with envy’ comparison and then sending us this caption idea, unsolicited, on May 20th (something anyone, anywhere can do, receiving author credit here in the Ad Archive if their idea is deemed CRO material by our panel of experts).

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
As soon as we saw this idea we knew we were going to go with this basic concept, but we seriously debated whether we should modify it slightly to "Makes other slabs green with envy.", thinking that was a little less pushy.

Ultimately, though, we went with the original idea exactly as J. Katz wrote it.
