December 22, 2014: "Happy Holidays 2014!"

14 12 22 Holiday

Author:
M. Savinelli and E. Wiseman

Concept:
In the spirit of the holidays we are delighted to present our eighth annual CRO Happy Holidays ad, this year featuring a joyously colorized Mexican Pillar 8 Reales sure to elicit feelings of childlike awe and wonder in CoinWorld recipients everywhere.

Captions (or illustrations) that didn’t make the cut:
Figuring it was about darn time we used a world coin in one of these ads, we opted for one that would be instantly (we hope) recognizable by even those who collect only coins made in the USA.

The rest was up to our guest artist, who reached what we believe is a new all-time high in numismatic holiday art.
