Concept:
When featuring an item with a serious subject matter, we think it’s not appropriate to get too silly.

Case in point this historic, significant and important Choice Uncirculated Washington Funeral Medal struck in White Metal to be worn at Washington’s funeral parade.

So here we opted to repeat the particularly poignant obverse legend HE IS IN GLORY, THE WORLD IN TEARS as our caption.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
There were none.

This just seemed like the right thing to do right from the start.
