"Here’s the Proof"

Concept:
After running so many ads as featuring early US type, colonials, obscure world coins, rare tokens and medals, we decided that this week it was time for us to feature a good old American Morgan Dollar in a popular mainstream grade.

And rather than come up with some weird, off-the-wall concept, we wanted to embrace this coin for what it is, and to emphasize the popularity of the series and the coin in proof format – though with a subtle play on words to add interest.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We had just one serious alternative here:

“Do you need proof that the Morgan Dollar is the most popular coin in all of numismatics?”, but we felt this did not make the play on words strongly enough.

So we went with the two sentence version, and we liked it.
