"Honorable Natt Head"

Concept:
One of the important considerations for us when cranking out these ads (tirelessly, every week), is to try to come up with fresh original ideas – and that’s not easy to do. But one thing we have learned is that a good way to avoid repetition is to make a very specific comment about the featured coin, and, if possible, a comment which can’t apply to anything else we are likely to have in inventory. Ideally it will be something interesting, and memorable, like this week’s reference to the coin’s celebrated former owner.

And, of course, it doesn’t hurt if he’s got a really cool name.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We didn’t start out with this idea.

First we had to navigate through some frankly pretty boring ideas talking about condition rarity and pop reports, including “One of just 5 mint state example certified by PCGS AND NGC.” But that just sounded so pedestrian that we knew we couldn’t go there.

Leading us eventually to the Nathaniel Head angle.

And when we discovered that Mr. Head was called "Natt", we really wanted to work that in. Though in doing so we figured it was best to add the word "Honorable" so it would be crystal clear to the reader that ‘Natt Head’ was actually someone’s name.
