June 23, 2014: "Let the Sunshine In"

Concept:
The charmingly crude, Raisin Bran-inspired sunface on this fantastic, totally original and neatly toned Argentinian 8 Sol needed, no, demanded, to be highlighted.

And so we obliged, with this totally appropriate 5th Dimension lyric (which, as our readers will undoubtedly recall, topped the billboard charts for 6 weeks in the spring of 1969).

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
You know, there are a LOT of sun-related lyrics out there to choose from, and we tried many of them. Starting with, of course, "Sunny days are here again." But it turns out that that is actually supposed to be "Happy days", and so we could not use it.

Which then led to "Let the sun shine in.", which sounded fine, until we realized it was actually written as ‘sunshine’, not ‘sun shine’. So we made that correction, and then inserted it neatly into this ad.
