April 28, 2014: "Minted in Boston"

Concept:
Eschewing a bad pun, hackneyed gag or lame-o joke this week, we opted instead for our guest author’s ‘putting-this-coin-in-historical-context’ caption reminding the viewer that these Pine Tree Shillings are in fact very, very old, and were minted right in downtown Boston on the current site of a Macy’s Department Store, in fact, right below Men’s Hosiery (actually I made that hosiery part up, but the Macy’s thing is true).

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We had a couple of possible alternatives this week, including "Proper Bostonian.", and "Boston Uncommon.", both of which seemed acceptable to me, and both of which might appear in upcoming CRO ads for some future, quite choice, not purchased yet but certain to be very nice Pine Tree coin.
