April 21, 2014: "Seal of Approval"

Concept:
We’ve been at this for quite a while now, and in all of that time we have featured not even one single item with a seal on it. Until now! (in the form of this totally cool Magdalen Island Token with a lounging seal on the obverse).

A landmark event which we immediately sought to memorialize with a positive seal-specific caption as seen in this ad.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
Our first effort this week centered on the use of the phrase "Great seal.", which might have been perfectly fine to use, though we were concerned that it might be confused for a simple and self-aggrandizing description and not the instantly recognizable phrase with the word seal in it we were seeking.

A problem we sought to rectify post-haste with "Seal of approval." And while we liked that, we did briefly consider adding CRO to the front as in "CRO seal of approval." before deciding that wasn’t necessary.

We’re still not sure that was the right decision, however.
