Concept:
This superb, smoking hot, MS63 1690 Ireland ½ Crown is the nicest example of any Gun Money coinage we’ve ever owned (or seen, actually), and so it was a numismatic no brainer to feature it here in this week’s ad with our guest author’s ‘it was almost too easy’ "Smoking Gun." caption.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We really didn’t seriously consider any alternatives this week, though we did wonder if a gun-themed caption was a good idea.

But then this is a piece of Gun Money, after all, and so it seemed strange to not use that word in the caption.

So we went ahead and did it.
