Concept:
Through the years we’ve seen a procession of great collections at auction, including, currently, those of Mssrs. Newman and Gardner. Before them it was names like Ford, Bass, Norweb and Garrett among others. But on this august list of famous collectors, one name has always stood above the others as the ultimate numismatic pedigree: Eliasberg.

Such as on the superb 1880 Proof Liberty Seated Quarter featured in this week’s ad.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
Our first effort "Described as ‘one of the finest of the 1,355 minted’ in the 1997 Eliasberg catalog." was intended to indirectly highlight the Eliasberg provenance in the context of a description.

But we decided that was too wordy, and so we went with the direct approach in our final ad.
