Concept:
As has been noted here many, many times, when we have a coin that is especially significant and important and so far superior to what we typically encounter for the issue, we like to eschew the pithy captions and instead go for serious numismatic themes.

As in the case of this spectacular 1820 North West Company token which blows away most every other one we’ve ever had a chance to buy or offer and is pedigreed to the august collection of Matthew A. Stickney. So we decided that was all that needed to be said.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
There were none.

When we have an opportunity to highlight a Stickney coin, we do it.
