August 29, 2022: "Throw it in Reverse"

Concept:
When confronted with this lovely, satiny, choice mint state and thoroughly CAC-ified example of this popular type with the Mintmark on the Reverse we thought it appropriate to highlight that fact with a popular ‘Reverse’ phrase.

In this case settling on a caption familiar to everyone who has ever driven a car in reverse, including your author (who subscribes to the theory that one should only back up as much as is absolutely necessary and not one inch more, lest you plow into a dumpster or other large immovable object like I did once in college).

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
The only other phrase seriously considered was “Reverse Full Rudder.” which I believe I heard once in a submarine movie, or possibly in Titanic. In either case, we’re not sure it really made sense here.

So we did not use it.
