Concept:
We felt there was one strong angle with this coin – and that was to position it as an affordable alternative to a Stella. The Barber designed depiction of Miss Liberty is essentially as used on the Coiled Hair Stellas of 1879 and 1880 and so it seemed an obvious choice.

But we didn’t want to make the comparison a literal or pedestrian "This looks like that" ad, so we tried to find a catchy way to communicate the idea.

This one got a good reaction, and we sold the coin immediately.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
I was highly tempted to do one which said "Stellaaaaa!" in a Streetcar Named Desire rip-off, but felt that would be very confusing to people who might think the coin was actually a Stella.
