October 10, 2022: "Tyrant Collection"

Concept:
Ever since the Tyrant Collection has been publicized, lauded and displayed at various Long Beach Expos that name has entered the numismatic consciousness.

So when we came across this neat, super choice and extremely popular 19th century Tyrant Alcohol medal with the word Tyrant so prominently displayed, we figured, hey, why not make the leap and go with a tyrant collection / Tyrant Collection connection? Exactly.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
All other ideas this week centered on the alcohol aspect of this piece, starting with “Toastworthy“.

But of course that makes little sense when talking about an anti-alcohol medal, so we instead tried “Ironically toastworthy.” And while that was more logical, it seemed like a bit of a word salad.

So we did not use it.
