Concept:
The superb, unmarked, unabraded surfaces of this über-gem RB 1851/81 Braided Hair Large Cent all but demanded to be featured in a CRO ad.

Fortunately, our prolific guest author was up to the task with this catchy, alliterative, surprisingly inspired, modified-consecutive homonym containing “Unabraded Braided.” contribution.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We had a few ideas this week, starting with some convoluted explanation of why this coin has a bizarro 8 under the 5 in the date. The answer being, of course that this is not a mere overdate, it is actually a rightside up date over an inverted date.

And while that is pretty interesting, we could not figure out a good way to shoehorn it into a usable ad caption.

So we decided to go with the concise and catchy version in our final ad instead.
