November 28, 2011: "Worthy of a High-Five"

Concept:
Admittedly, this week’s ‘5’s are Wild’ ad approach is not exactly a tour de force, but the coin featured certainly is.

With lovely color, nice luster and an absolutely hammered strike for this issue, this is a piece which we believe could very easily elicit a high-five from an early gold enthusiast (which, if it did happen, we would video, and play in a continuous loop on a monitor at our booth at an upcoming show).

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
Our best alternative this week was "Strike gold with a piece of well struck early gold.", which I thought was extremely clever, but our focus group testers (which includes a battery of collectors, dealers and disinterested family members) gave it a long, loud Bronx cheer.

So we did not use it.
