December 28, 2025: The Devens, MA Monthly Show

Team CRO arrived at our last show of the year early, ready for action, carrying cool coins, planning to buy as many more which meet our strict criteria as possible, looking to tie up a few local loose ends, deliver some coins to customers and generally be super productive.

So how’d we do? I’m going to give us a solid B+.

We did see a bunch of interesting coins, evaluated all of them and bought 7, ranging in price from a few hundred dollars to the high 5-figures, which is a pretty good haul for a local event like this.

Sales were decent too, all of the organic (i.e. not pre-arranged) variety. We also had some other collectors considering some fancy coins of the sort that might involve a trade or layaway, and one or more of those might yet happen over the next week or so. We’ll see.

Beyond that we handed off coins, settled up with another dealer on a long term layaway deal we just finalized, picked up checks, delivered a sizable consignment for Ebay, saw a bunch of our local dealer friends, and said our goodbyes until we see a lot of these same people in Orlando at the FUN show.

From where our next EB will be written in just more than a shockingly short week from now.
