KM-10 variety.

A really nice example of this type which definitively circulated in colonial era New York.

Indeed, early New York colonial paper money was actually denominated in Lion Dollars.  Who knew?

And while Lion Dollars are hard to find in choice condition, Half Lions are even tougher, with this pleasing piece among the best we’ve seen.

Pretty silvery-gray color, some subtle blue and golden toning in the devices and a relatively good and even strike for an issue that often looks horrendous.
