Noe-10, W-750, Salmon-8-Diii variety, considered to be Rarity-3. 69.75 grains.
An amazing and dramatic example of this less-often-seen variety beautifully toned in shades of silvery blue, sea green, pale rose and golden orange on the obverse and reverse as is well captured by our PCGS TrueView photos.
We have seen just a few dramatically toned pieces of Mass Silver through the years, including a couple of high-end AU58’s in our archive, and a lone mint state Oak Tree Shilling, ex-Ford, which last traded at Heritage a few years ago in an MS66 holder for $161,000.
And while this piece is not a 66 (or an Oak Tree for that matter), it is as strikingly toned, also CAC-approved and does offer many things that piece did not, including a sharp, even, well centered strike, full legends, a bold tree and, in comparison, a relatively affordable price.
Note that this coin has been verified by CAC.
