And this is a superb piece, totally original (we know this sounds like a broken record on our site, but we can’t help but gush about coins that look like this since they are so different than most of what we typically see at shows and auctions), with crusty silver gray color, some flashes of brighter luster in the devices and some pretty toning of the sort that develops over, oh, I don’t know, 289 years. 

The best example in the Ford collection was not nearly this nice, and it brought $1,495 in 2006.
